Chart of the Day

๐Ÿ† Today's Chart of the Day was shared by Mike Zaccardi (@MikeZaccardi).

  • It was a solid day for Precious Metals, with Gold closing above $3,100/oz. for the first time in history.

  • While Gold is up +2.6% this week, Silver is up +5.6%. It's on track for its best week in six months and its highest weekly close in 13 years.

  • It's battling a shelf of resistance from 2012, around $35/oz. If Silver clears this threshold, the next major hurdle is the 2011 peak, around $49/oz.

The Takeaway: Gold's crazy little brother, Silver, is trying to break out. It's on track for its best week in six months and its highest close since 2012.
