• International stocks have risen from the dead this year, while US stocks have stalled. The Vanguard All-World Ex-US ETF ($VEU) is up +7.3% YTD, while the Vanguard Total US Stock Market ETF ($VTI) is up +1.1%.  
   
• Over the past month (23 trading days), $VEU has outperformed $VTI by +7.2%, marking the 5th highest reading since 2008. 
   
• Despite the recent outperformance from International stocks, the relative trend continues to favor US stocks. This ratio has persistently trended lower since the inception of $VEU in 2007.
   

The Takeaway: The rest of the world has dominated the US by an extreme margin over the past month, but the relative trend continues to favor US stocks.
